The community is included on National National Register of Historic Places and includes a recreation center, tennis courts, and hiking trails.

Located on the east side of the Willamette River, Waverly Heights is a community of spectacular Mid-Century homes that surround the historic . It is close to historic the historic Waverley Country Club, founded in 1896. It is situated close to the Sellwood and Woodstock neighborhoods.
